On 23rd August, our school celebrated ISRO Day to commemorate the establishment of the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) on February 15, 1962. The day was marked with enthusiasm and excitement as our students participated in various events to honor India’s achievements in space exploration.
Model Rocketry Competition
Students from Classes 6 to 12 participated in a model rocketry competition, where they designed and launched their own model rockets. This event encouraged our students to apply theoretical concepts to practical problems and develop their critical thinking skills.
Skit on ISRO’s Milestones
Class 7 students performed a captivating skit showcasing ISRO’s major milestones, including the launch of Aryabhata, India’s first satellite, and the successful landing of the Mars Orbiter Mission (Mangalyaan). The skit highlighted the dedication and perseverance of ISRO scientists and engineers.
Space Quiz
A space quiz was organized for Classes 3 to 5, testing their knowledge about ISRO, space exploration, and astronomy. The quiz sparked curiosity and interest in space research among our young learners.
Celebrating India’s Space Achievements
ISRO Day is a celebration of India’s remarkable achievements in space exploration and research. Our school’s events were designed to inspire our students to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) and contribute to India’s growing space program.
